Soon after the nationwide lockdown was announced, the courts all over the country began functioning in a limited manner, for hearing urgent/ extremely urgent matters and the use of video conferencing has been the prescribed norm.
The Supreme Court of India and the respective High Courts have issued Standard Operating Procedures/ Guidelines, from time to time for filing, listing and hearing of urgent/ extremely urgent matters during the lockdown.
For ease of reference, we have compiled the procedure for filing, listing and hearing of matters during the lockdown for prominent courts/tribunals in states of Delhi, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.
